Climate Roundtable Discussion!! Let's Talk About It!! @ OSHER Lifelong Learning Institute, Room 105 (lunch room)

Greetings All!

We would like to invite you to join us again this year for a Roundtable Climate Discussion at Osher Lifelong Learning in Wilmington on April 17, 12:30-1:45. Because there are not facilities to provide lunch, we encourage you to eat before coming or bring your own brown bag lunch. A few snacks will be provided. Flyer is attached. While there is limited seating, feel free to share with others you think would be interested in participating and get your own RSVP in as soon as possible. As we did last year, we hope to have a very diverse group attending.
Last year’s event last year was so enthusiastically received that it has inspired us to launch a new statewide initiative…Climate Conversations.
That, reinforced by the TEDtalk by Katherine Hayhoe, which you may have seen:  The most important thing you can do to fight climate change:  Talk about it Dr. Hayhoe is an atmospheric scientist and professor of political science at Texas Tech University, where she is director of the Climate Science Center. She worked on and prepared the report “Climate Change Projections and Indicators for Delaware” (December 2013). An engaging and powerful speaker!
We hope to be facilitating opportunities for people to come together…in classrooms, libraries, community centers, board rooms, worship facilities, floors of General Assembly around the state…to share concerns, confusions, hopes, fears, strategies.
So we hope you can join us on the 17th but also welcome any ideas you have for expanding this initiative, including hosting one yourselves!
With warmest wishes,
Lisa
