Windows of Hope is an interior storm window construction, installation and education program; viewed as a door, not only to a range of energy efficiency and cost-saving measures, but to local employment opportunities, to community building, and to expanding their larger mission of addressing the causes and impacts of climate change.
This project is a collaboration between WIT and Delaware Interfaith Power & Light and several faith and community organizations throughout the state of Delaware.
The mission of Delaware Interfaith Power & Light is to address the causes and impacts of climate change through promotion of energy efficiency and conservation, renewable energy, and environmental justice strategies. Working through a diversity of faith communities and community partners, our goal, ultimately, is to assure the preservation of a healthy, sustainable planet and closer to home, to improve the everyday quality of life of our families, our neighbors, our communities.
We believe we have a moral responsibility to care for creation, to protect those most vulnerable, to scientifically inform and spiritually depend our understanding of our relationship with each other and the natural world. And given that understanding, we believe climate change is the defining moral issue of our times.
